Whether building a new home or
upgrading an old one, any home can gain a sense of luxury from
a
hot towel rack. A
vast range of prices and styles makes this creature comfort one
that can almost withstand any budget. With the price of a
bathroom remodel in the tens of thousands of dollars, spending
an extra few hundred dollars for a towel warmer is
worth considering. It could be the item that takes a nice
standard bathroom and turns it into a luxury
home spa.
There is no one right way to use an
electric wall towel warmer. However, for maximum effect,
manufacturers recommend allowing a towel to hang so that as
much of the surface of the towel as possible is in contact with
the warmrails. Hot towel racks are available in a
range of sizes to accommodate multiple towels.
Warming towel racks work in one of two
ways, where each option has its benefits and disadvantages. The
first option is to use hydronic towel warmers, which is
warmed using hot water that flows through the bars. It heats up
quickly, reaching its optimal temperature as soon as the hot
water reaches it from the home’s heating system. This heated
towel warmer is generally only appropriate in a home that has a
boiler or geyser. However, there are closed system heated towel
rails, which use the home’s hot water system and must be
installed with a circulating pump.
The other option is the electric
heated towel rails, which uses an electric element to heat oil
in the warmrails . An electric hot towel rack has the
advantage of an optional timer. Thus, the hard wired towel
warmer can be ready when wanted, even though the electric model
takes longer to heat up. Most styles are available in both
electric and hydronic models.

The sense of pure indulgence a
straight towel warmer provides is not the only reason to
consider a towel warmer. The ambient heat generated, while not
enough to heat the bathroom during the winter months in colder
climates, can take the chill out of the morning air in
temperate areas without turning on the home’s heating. Because
they can be found in a wide variety of finishes and styles,
there is sure to be a hot towel rack that will
match any bathroom’s décor. Remember that you can also buy a
hot tub heated towel rack too.
